Q: Where is ACT located? How do I get there?
A: ACT's corporate headquarters is located at 6950 W.Sam Houston Pkwy. N in Houston. Our plumbing showroom is located at 6900 W. Sam Houston Pkwy. N A map to our Houston location is available as well as a complete listing of our other sites.
Q: How do I pay for products?
A: ACT can issue invoices for purchased products by customers that have submitted a complete credit application form. For smaller purchases such as a plumbing valve, cash and checks are welcome.
We hope to add online payment options in the near future.
Q: How do I open an account with ACT?
A: To open an account with ACT, please download the credit application and personal guaranty. Please fax the completed credit application and personal guarantee to 281-892-8105. To submit these electronically, please scan and e-mail the completed forms to credit@actpipeandsupply.com.
Q: I don't know who my contact person is at ACT. Whom do I contact?

Q: Do you have product at your location or does ACT have to order it?
A: ACT prides itself on a large inventory of product so our customers can quickly get needed product. We can also order product for delivery within 5 days.
Q: How competitive are ACT's prices?
A: Very competitive. As the largest independent distributor in Texas, ACT is able to secure some of the best pricing and extend that to our customers.
Q: My business is not located in Houston. Does ACT have other locations?
A: Yes, ACT has locations across the state of Texas and does business internationally.
Q: Do you provide complete job estimates?
A: Each of our locations is staffed with experienced estimators. The estimators and/or sales staff will provide detailed job quotations based on a set of blue prints.

Q: How do I apply for a credit account?

Q: What is the difference between the ACT Decorative Plumbing Showroom and other places that sell plumbing products?
A: ACT employees are professionals in the plumbing business with more than 20 years of experience. ACT is also one of the largest independent plumbing wholesalers in Texas.
Unlike chain stores, ACT handles only quality brands that meet our discriminating standards. We are a "specification showroom," which means our sales consultants work with each client to specify the plumbing fixtures and accessories for a complete job.
Q: When is the showroom open?
A: The Decorative Plumbing Showroom is open Monday - Friday 8 am - 5 pm, and Saturdays 9 am - Noon. After-hour appointments are available. Please call the showroom to schedule an appointment.
Q: Does ACT sell products besides plumbing fixtures?
A: Yes, we carry a complete line of vanities, kitchen sinks, whirlpool tubs, toilets, lavatory sinks, water heaters, garbage disposals, bathroom exhaust fans, medicine cabinets and mirrors, and bathroom accessories. We also display a selection of wall lamps and sconces. We do not sell tile, appliances or built-in cabinetry.
Q: Is there a warranty on your products?
A: Yes, ACT stands behind the products it sells. We use our relationship with the manufacturers and contractors to make situations requiring warranties pain-free.
Q: How can I show my customer the products you offer?
A: Visit our decorative plumbing showroom to explore high-end options for kitchens and baths.
Q: Which manufacturers' products do you carry?
A: We work with all major manufacturers and some exclusive artists as well. Visit our showroom to see the variety of products, colors and finishes available.
Q: Do you carry custom pieces?
A: Yes, ACT can help you select the best products to personalize your home or business--from stylish faucets and sinks to spacious showers and bathtubs to exquisite countertops. Our showroom manager has strong relationships with artists and manufacturers to bring you the best tastes.
Q: Do you have everything in stock?
A: The unique nature of the luxury products market often requires that we must special order some items. In these cases, special requirements may come into play that will include paying a deposit.
Q: Why are prices not listed on the products displayed in the showroom?
A: ACT prefers to give prices based on the entire project. This includes the actual cost of the product in addition to the value of other services and the total size of the order. ACT consultants only give quotations after a complete specification appointment. For purposes of comparison, ACT consultants will use the manufacturer's list pricing.
Q: Do I have to work with an interior designer or builder to visit the showroom?
A: No, ACT's plumbing showroom is open to the public. However, we respect the work of designers, builders, architects and plumbers so we often work hand-in-hand with them.
Q: If I'm already working with an interior designer, how do we work with ACT?
A: Easily. Call your designer before visiting ACT's plumbing showroom. Your designer may recommend a particular consultant or may want to visit the showroom with you. ACT works closely with many designers.
Q: Can I buy products directly from ACT, rather than using an interior designer or builder?
A: Absolutely. But we caution against that because new construction projects and extensive remodeling can be tricky. Professional designers are often well worth the investment because they can guide you on quality, compatibility, style and space.
Q: Can I just select one faucet? Do I have to purchase plumbing fixtures for a whole house?
A: Every job, no matter the size, is important to ACT and we're here to help you.
Q: Does ACT offer installation services?
A: No, ACT does not install products. Installation of plumbing fixtures, especially luxury products, is best handled by licensed and experienced plumbing contractors. An ACT sales consultant can share contractor names and contact information.
Q: Can I find plumbing items on the Internet cheaper?
A: Maybe. ACT doesn't sell its plumbing products over the Internet and doesn't recommend buying these products online. Why? Some companies operate only over the Internet. Their low overhead sometimes allows them to charge less for products. However, these same companies are not able to offer insight from trained consultants and provide little, if any, service after the sale. In fact, many manufacturers will only honor manufacturer warranties if the products are purchased through a showroom or traditional "brick and mortar" store. To protect your interests, ACT recommends visiting our showroom, where we can work with you in a comfortable, no hassle way to find the best product for your needs.
Q: I'm a local plumber and need materials for a job. Can ACT help?
A: Sure, we'd be happy to help. Our "will-call" desk allows plumbers and builders to quickly buy the materials they need and get back to work.
Q: Does ACT deliver plumbing products the trade?
A: Yes, ACT delivers to plumbing contractors' shops to help plumbers focus on their customers. ACT does not deliver to individual residences.
